Lucky Family Consulting is founded in 2014 by Lucky Zhao, Lucky Family Consulting integrates modern educational theories, educational psychology, neuroscience research, and extensive hands-on counselling experience. It provides professional training, consulting, and guidance for children, adolescents, and parents in the areas of parenting, educational psychology, family relationships, and holistic well-being.
Lucky Family Consulting collaborates with professionals from various fields, including teachers, psychologists, family therapists, and psychiatrists, to serve families and communities from diverse cultural backgrounds. The organisation specialises in supporting Chinese-Australian families by offering practical, culturally integrated parenting solutions. Through long-term partnerships, it promotes family well-being, mental health, and sustainable positive parenting practices, while actively contributing to community and social welfare initiatives.
Lucky Zhao is fluent in both Chinese and English and has 24 years of experience in education and educational psychology across China and Australia. Her expertise spans early childhood education, school education, parenting education, family relationships, and educational psychology. She has held various roles, including teacher, education centre director, senior trainer for educational enterprises, flagship centre general manager, parenting consultant, educational psychologist, and personal growth coach. Through her extensive experience, she has successfully guided tens of thousands of families in raising children wisely and achieving a fulfilling family life.
Lucky advocates for fostering intrinsic motivation and holistic well-being in children. She believes in recognising individual differences and nurturing children's strengths. Her mission is to support parents and caregivers in developing scientific and practical parenting strategies, maintaining love and patience, upholding core values and beliefs, and using positive discipline methods. Her approach strengthens trust-based parent-child relationships, enhances family happiness, and boosts parental confidence and effectiveness.

With over 30 years of experience in educational psychology, he was named Australia’s Father of the Year in 2001 and was awarded the Order of Australia for his contributions to youth mental health.

They also designed the therapeutic anti-anxiety course “The Well-being Mindset”, based on his latest book, The Wild Thinking.
